Diagnostic Radiographers: Diagnostic radiographers use high level cutting-edge technology to obtain images of internal organs of patients which helps understand and diagnose conditions. Radiographers are hospital based, they design treatment programmes in close association with patient's and colleagues and support patient's till the end of their treatment.They hold expertise in using CT Scans to obtain 3D images, and in using some of the most complex and advanced technology in the field of diagnostic scanning.Diagnostic radiographers provide a service for most departments in the hospital, including the Accident and Emergency department.


Therapeutic Radiographers: Therapeutic radiographers work as part of multidisciplinary teams. They design and deliver treatment programmes for cancer patients. They support radiation interventions, use CT scans, linear accelerators and even take simple X-rays. To be a therapeutic radiographer, you will need to complete an approved degree or masters radiotherapy.
